Webinar: Green Is The New Black: Our Water, Our Future

Fifty years ago, Cleveland’s Cuyahoga River was so polluted it caught fire. This ignited a national movement to reclaim clean water, pass the Clean Water Act, and establish the U.S. EPA. Today, life has returned to the Cuyahoga River and it is a thriving waterway at the heart of Cleveland’s downtown. But our waters face new threats: agricultural runoff pollution and harmful algal blooms.

Join us for a conversation about the river burning, the clean water movement that followed, and how we can carry that legacy forward over the next 50 years. You’ll hear from Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz, Cleveland Chief Sustainability Officer Matthew Gray, Alliance President & CEO Joel Brammeier, and Alliance Policy Director Crystal M.C. Davis. Less
