What we'll do
Chicago Group of the Sierra Club invites members and friends to help clean up Montrose Beach, Chicago’s nicest sandy shoreline, to honor Earth Day 2018 on April 21.
This is a fun, relaxed clean-up of the biggest beach in the city. Who knows what errant junk was trapped under all that ice over the winter?
We can’t help finding lots of birds, mammals and interesting plants at Montrose and will be running
nature tours all afternoon.
We want to show you how amazing Montrose really is. Bring binoculars if you have them.
What to bring
Dress for the weather (it may be cold!), wear a hat and sunscreen, bring a filled water bottle and
work gloves if you have them. Snacks, hot chocolate, coffee and water will be provided.
